Preparation Book: Itinerary, Emmanuel/Chico Xavier – Item 10, Religion
Specific Objectives
Elucidate that the meaning of Emmanuel’s work goes beyond the men interests in order to raise the moral standard of the Spirits on the rise of reaching other evolutionary steps.
Emphasize that Emmanuel wrote his books to reach embodied and disembodied human beings with the same resourcefulness who writes for brothers and sisters, using the same pedagogy of Allan Kardec and the Spirits, since he himself was part of the Falange of the Spirit of Truth.
Emmanuel and Spiritism: Contextualization and Historicity of Spiritism
Emmanuel is not yet understood even by the spiritists; he is seen as a Catholic who carries the luggage inherited from his reincarnations in that religious institution and that therefore had ritualized Spiritism; or even he is seen as a philosopher who reconstructs the Spiritist philosophy based on the teachings of Jesus, turning it into Moral Philosophy – Emmanuel is not what they think they are. This Spirit came building himself through successive reincarnations, but also in the higher planes of life where the human being stripped of their minor interests can complete himself in Spirit and Truth when next to Jesus. Emmanuel is yet to be understood; maybe when we get closer to his moral stature we will actually glimpse the meaning of his work not only to the spiritists but for all humanity.
