Specific Objectives

Emphasize that, concerning Spiritisme, Augustine developed his instructions with reference to the practice of Christian Ethics and Moral of Jesus: Love to the Family (Ingratitude of the children and family ties), Chapter XIV, Item 9; Evil and the Remedy – Chapter V, item 19; The Duel – Chapter XII, item 12; World of Atonement and Evidence, Regenerators and Progression of the Worlds – Cap III, items 13 to 19; Prayer is a source of happiness – Chapter 27, item 23. Is St. Augustine, by any chance, modifying the things he taught? Certainly not, but like many others, he sees with the eyes of the spirit what he could not see as man. Because he has a free soul he realizes and understands what he did not before. New ideas gave to him the true meaning of certain words. When he was on Earth, he considered the things according to the knowledge he possessed, but when a new light came to him he could judge them more clearly.

That is how he should review his belief concerning the incubus and succubus spirits and the anathema that had launched against the theory of the antipodes. Now that Christianity came to him in all its purity, he can think differently from when he lived, without ceasing to be a Christian apostle. He can without denying his faith to be the propagator of the Spiritualism, because in it he sees the fulfillment of the predictions. Proclaiming it today leads us to a healthy and more logical interpretation of the texts. This also happens with other Spirits that are in a similar position.
